Burglar Breaks Into Escape Room, Gets Trapped, Calls Police On Himself
This burglar isn’t very bright – after breaking into one of those escape rooms, he got trapped inside and had to call police on himself to get out.

Thieves are all over, and burglaries happen all the time all over the world. Thieves always think they’re being stealthy and sneaky, and while some are – a lot of them aren’t. This guy definitely wasn’t the brightest, but he gave us a good story to share at least.
First of all, what’s an escape room? If you aren’t familiar with them, it’s a sort of “play place” in a way. The idea is that you get some friends together, and you get locked in this room. You and your teammates try to solve puzzles and riddles, and find clues. Once you’ve found enough clues, you can unlock the door and eventually make your “escape.” It’s a fun group thing to do, and it’s been getting pretty popular.
For whatever reason, this thief decided he wanted to break into a place that hosts these escape room experiences. The owners of the business received a call from police around 5am saying that someone had broken into their business. They rushed down to their location, expecting to find a bunch of things gone through or missing. Once they arrived and saw what happened, “At that point all we could do was laugh,” said one of the owners.
Here’s something that’s rather odd though. The burglar did steal a couple things from the escape room. He took a remote control, a beer, and a fake phone prop. Once he had all those things, he sat down to eat a burrito. No, not a prop, an actual burrito that he brought with him. Then he called police on himself when he realized he couldn’t get out.
