Burger King Goes After McDonald’s With ‘Whopper Detour’

Burger King is going after McDonald’s with its ‘Whopper Detour’ deal. BK is offering appholders one cent whoppers at the expense of Mickey D’s.

Burger King is taking aim at McDonald’s with the new changes in its mobile app rolled out on Dec. 4.

There’s a new feature in the app called the Whopper Detour, which allows consumers to order a Whopper for just one cent. The caveat? You have to be within 600 feet of a McDonald’s. When you activate the coupon, the app will then reroute you to the nearest Burger King. Kind of genius, really.

The Whopper Detour will be in effect until Dec. 12, reports PopCulture. So don’t miss out on your chance to get Whopper for just a penny!
