Boy Who Became “Batkid” Through Make-A-Wish Is Now Cancer-Free
Good news was recently announced that the young boy who became “Batkid” for the day, through Make-A-Wish, is now cancer-free.

The young boy who stole America’s heart by wishing to be Batman for the day through Make-A-Wish, is now considered cancer-free!
People may remember the story a few years back of 5-year-old hero, Miles Scott. The young boy had been battling leukemia, and told Make-A-Wish that he wanted to be Batman for a day. With the help of the nonprofit organization and the help of over 20,000 volunteers, the city of San Francisco helped make Miles’ wish come true.
According to Buzzfeed News, Then mayor of San Francisco, Ed Lee, the San Francisco chief of police and the San Francisco Chronicle all worked together to create a special “bat day” experience. Even President Obama joined in on the event, sending Batkid encouragement and support.
Since the special event, Scott has turned 10-years-old and been in remission for five years, with many considering that milestone to be a sign of being cancer-free. He is now in fifth grade and reportedly loves science and robots. He also currently plays Little League and helps out on his family’s farm.
