‘Big Bang Theory’ Ending After Upcoming 12th Season

Can you believe that ‘The Big Bang Theory’ is ending? An official statement was released confirming the news that season 12 will be the last.

Can you believe that The Big Bang Theory is ending?

CBS, Warner Bros. TV, and Chuck Lorre Productions released a joint statement confirming the news. The show officially ends in May 2019 after the upcoming 12th season. According to PEOPLEBig Bang Theory is the longest-running multi-camera series in TV history. That’s quite a feat!

“We are forever grateful to our fans for their support of ‘The Big Bang Theory’ during the past twelve seasons,” the statement read. “We, along with the cast, writers and crew, are extremely appreciative of the show’s success and aim to deliver a final season, and series finale, that will bring ‘The Big Bang Theory’ to an epic creative close.”

Back in March, Kaley Cuoco admitted that she has a hard time seeing life after the series ends.

“I actually can’t, to be honest,” she said. “I can’t really picture it. And I don’t think there really be my life without it — I think it’ll always be there, I think it’ll always be running, I think we’ll always have those fans. It’s always going to be a part of me.”

The final Big Bang Theory season airs on Sept. 24 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
