First it was BBQ Betty, then it was Permit Patty. Now, there’s another person who tried calling the police for a seemingly minor action: eating a burrito.

According to KRON 4, a video is going viral of an unknown man trying to call the police on someone for eating on BART.

In the video, the man can be seen ridiculing a fellow passenger for eating in his seat. He loudly exclaims:

“You can’t wait? Sign says no eating and drinking. You don’t get it? You must be stupid. I’ve seen people like you on TV.”

While other passengers began to laugh, the angry man got up and made an attempt to contact BART police. After paging the train conductor, the man explained:

“Can you get a policeman on board here? We’ve got somebody dining in the first car…”

The conductor apparently didn’t understand, as the man repeatedly clarified what the issue was before sitting again. However, by this point, most of the other passengers were on the burrito-eater’s side. Some cheered the man on and told him to keep eating his burrito. Others wondered why the man was angry about eating when other problems, like people shooting up drugs, are much more serious issues affecting BART commuters.

In the end though, the man eating the burrito calmly exited the train at his stop. It also unclear if police ever came to deal with the situation.

BART officials later confirmed that eating or drinking on a train could result in a warning or citation. There are also people who agree with the angry man, saying that eating on the trains can leave messes and trash. However, most believe that attempting to involve the police was unnecessary and over the top.

While it doesn’t appear that the man in the video called 911, it should be noted that calling the number for non-emergencies is a bad idea. As SafeBee explains, most 911 centers only have a few dispatchers. When you call for the wrong reasons, you could seriously delay help for people in real emergencies.
