Gov. Newsom announced Thursday morning (3/25/21) beginning April 15, all Californians 16 and older will be able to sign up for COVID-19 vaccines; 50 and older become eligible on April 1.

“With vaccine supply increasing and by expanding eligibility to more Californians, the light at the end of the tunnel continues to get brighter,” Newsom said in a statement

Currently, only essential workers in California, people who are over 65 years old and people who are between 16 and 64 years old and have preexisting conditions are eligible for the vaccine.
