This App Demonstrate How You’d Look If You Never Wear Sunscreen

Someone made an app that not only virtually-ages a picture of you to show sun damage, it also animates the picture in a creepy way for some reason.

This app is designed to scare you into wearing sunscreen. We all know the sun damages our skin. Every time we get a sunburn, tan, etc, it can add wrinkles and spots. It’s called “Sunface,” and it comes on Android and iOS.

The app is apparently pretty easy to use. It’s basically a camera app with a filter, sort of what Snapchat does. All you have to do is open the app and take a selfie. The app applies a filter to your picture, which adds wrinkles and spots. You can “look ahead” anywhere from 5 years to 25 years “into the future.” The idea is that the app shows you what can happen if you never wear sunscreen and start to damage your face.

There’s also a button you can hit that shows you the same timeframe, but after having used sunscreen. Obviously it still “ages” your picture, but includes less wrinkles and spots. Here’s the really freaky part though. Nevermind the wrinkles and spots, but the app actually takes your picture and animates it. It makes you “breathe,” and it’ll even make your eyes blink, apparently. An animated future sun-damaged version of myself – I don’t need that in my life.

Here’s some more information on the app.
