Another Salmonella Recall – Hungry Man Frozen Dinners

This week it seems everything is being recalled for a Salmonella outbreak. Today, another popular food item was added to the list. Hungry Man frozen dinners!
Delish reports, “On Friday, FSIS issued a public health alert regarding concerns of products being contaminated with Salmonella from whey powder that’s been recalled by the ingredient’s producer.
The Hungry-Man microwavable dinners that have been recalled are 15.25-oz. “Chipotle BBQ Sauced Boneless Chicken Wyngz” with a “best buy” date of 9/16/19. Pinnacle Foods, Inc. produces the meal, and voluntarily recalled it after being notified by their supplier that the recalled whey powder ingredient had been used in the ranch dressing seasoning supplied to them. The seasoning was added into the mashed potatoes and also packaged with the boneless chicken dinner.”
