According to the Sac Bee, an army soldier, Richard Burt recorded an album during WWII that his grandson found in his attic!

Robert Burt was a West Sacramentian and worked as a music teacher and also a Julliard trained musician! 1946 was the year Burt and a 20 piece ensemble recorded 10 of the eras most popular big band songs. With permission Richard was able to take the recordings home once discharged and didn’t know where the recordings were for years until his grandson found them last October!

How cool is this piece of history that came from someone right in our home town! Read more of the story HERE
