Courtney Hadwin, who was a finalist on this season’s finale of America’s Got Talent, has reportedly received some good news after her narrow loss on Wednesday night’s final. Music kingpin, Simon Cowell, who is also a judge on America’s Got Talent, has reportedly signed the the 14-year-old singer to his record label.
According to Daily Mail, Simon Cowell will be meeting with Hadwin to discuss the details of a potentially lucrative record deal. Heavily favored to win, Hadwin consistently wowed the judges with her performances, with Cowell himself saying he would sign her to his label if she didn’t win the television competition. “Every time you perform, you inspire people,” Cowell told Hadwin. “You are more than a great singer, you are a trendsetter.”
Reports claim that the record deal could lead to a ‘six-figure’ salary for the young star. Hadwin had previously seen success last year, where she competed on the British competition The Voice Kids, and made it to the live finals. She then appeared on this season of ‘AGT’, with the judges expecting her to win the entire competition after her audition received a Golden Buzzer from Howie Mandel.
