Amazon says they know all about Alexa’s weird tendency to laugh at random, and they’re fixing the problem that’s been really creeping people out.

According to Yahoo,

“In rare circumstances, Alexa can mistakenly hear the phrase ‘Alexa, laugh,'” an Amazon spokesperson said in an email. “We are changing that phrase to be ‘Alexa, can you laugh?’ which is less likely to have false positives, and we are disabling the short utterance ‘Alexa, laugh.’ We are also changing Alexa’s response from simply laughter to ‘Sure, I can laugh’ followed by laughter.”

Amazon has already rolled out the fix. But before Amazon confirmed that Alexa was being falsely triggered.

Some people managed to capture the weirdness. Check it out –
