All adoptions through the Sacramento SPCA will be free through the end of the year, thanks to an anonymous donation.

The donation was made in memory of Cheryl Lynn Keay of Citrus Heights who passed away last year at the age of 60. She was a very good friend to the donor and was very passionate about animals. If you want to adopt, you still have to go through the adoption process, but your fees will be waived! The SPCA currently has 44 cats, 15 dogs, 5 birds and 2 rabbits listed available for adoption on its website.

The SPCA adoption center is open  Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is located at 6201 Florin Perkins Road.
