A super friendly 1-year-old pup named Binx thought it was his lucky day when he got adopted from the Arizona Animal Welfare League and SPCA in Phoenix. However the little mutt was returned less than 48 hours later for being too good.

In a Facebook post on Monday, the shelter said the family returning Binx left notes that said he was, “potty trained, good with kids, fun to play with, and good with dogs in the home!”

He sounds wonderful! So why didn’t they keep him?

The shelter says the family wanted a dog that was more of a challenge. Careful what you wish for!

In the meantime, Binx is back up for adoption at the shelter where he is still waiting to be some lucky family’s good boy.
