Adele’s been shying away from the spotlight since she cut her tour short due to vocal cord damage, but Saturday she returned to Instagram  to debut her Halloween costume.

But no one can figure out exactly the mysterious costume.

She does looks gorgeous, but what is she supposed to be?

Fans have been throwing out guesses: a witch, a clown, Kermit, Beyonce?
