Here’s the thing – she’s a flight attendant who had to work on Christmas Eve. Her dad, Hal, booked 6 different flights, just so he could spend the holiday with her.
Obviously this happened over the Christmas holiday, but it’s such a nice story. Pierce T. Vaughan is a flight attendant. She had to work on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, which is a bummer for any family who wants to be together. This dad was determined though, he wanted to see his daughter on Christmas. He booked 6 flights, which were the 6 that Pierce was assigned to work.
Through some miracle, he was able to make it on all six of those flights, despite having to fly on “standby.” He used her buddy pass system, basically, which is a sort of “reduced rates” system. Hal even got a bump to first class on one of the flights! The story started making its way around online, and was even shared by another passenger on the plane.
Delta Airlines, the airline for which Pierce works, even released a statement about the flights. “We appreciate all of our employees for working during the holidays to serve Delta customers, and love seeing this awesome Dad having the chance to spend Christmas with his daughter – even while crisscrossing the country at 30,000 feet.” Check out some more information on the Christmas flight over here.
