The I-5 corridor through Sacramento will see some major changes starting in October. A massive re-construction will begin to improve and expand I-5 between Downtown and Delta Shores.

According to KCRA, “Caltrans said it’s the biggest construction project since this portion of the interstate was completed in 1975. The first phase will start from Delta Shores to downtown and will include adding carpool lanes, replacing the center divider and patching up the holes and cracks. The cost is over $250 million and the repairs will come largely from SB 1 funding.”
