Oxford Dictionary describes Thanksgiving as “an annual national holiday marked by religious observances and a traditional meal including turkey. The holiday commemorates a harvest festival celebrated by the Pilgrims in 1621, and is held in the US on the fourth Thursday in November.”

Sure, that may be the ACTUAL definition, but the holiday itself has morphed a bit, namely with travel being more accessible than ever. This weekend, winter weather is expected to snarl traffic around Northern California but that won’t stop families from traveling all around the country for the most glutenous holiday of them all, Thanksgiving!

If you are hosting this year, you may have house guests staying with you. A situation that is almost always an exercise in patience, compromise…and Lysol.

This new survey from OnePoll came up with the 10 most annoying habits of houseguests, here are the top 5:

1.  Arrive unannounced or without an invitation.

2.  Snoop around.

3.  Break or damage something.

4.  Leave behind a mess when they’re gone.

5.  Be too loud.

I hope, sincerely, that your houseguests are better behaved! Happy Thanksgiving!
