Praying for his family

This is incredibly heartbreaking. Yesterday Marquise Goodwin caught an 83 yard pass from CJ Beathard for a touchdown, giving the 49ers a 10-6 lead in the second quarter, the largest lead in a game this season and the longest reception since 2005. Goodwin had a very emotional reaction on the sideline, pointing to the sky and falling to his knees. That’s because around 4 that morning, Goodwin posted on Instagram that he and wife Morgan had lost their son at birth, writing “(We) had to prematurely deliver him early this morning around 4 a.m. Although we are hurt, I am grateful for the experience and grateful that God blessed me with a wife as courageous and resilient as Morgan… please Pray for the Goodwin family.”

Even still, Goodwin decided to play and ended up making a big difference for the previously defeated 9ers.
