1. There was no host! The no-host thing worked pretty well, and actually made the show SEEM like it was moving along faster. 
2. Darik loved Rami Malek’s inspiring acceptance speech about being a first generation American Immigrant.  He won Best Actor in a Leading Role for his portrayal of Freddie Mercury in BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY. 
3. Lady Gaga and Bradley Coopers performance made us wonder if they are now an item. 
4. Jennifer Lopez’s gown.  Can you believe she is almost 50? Her birthday is in July. 
5. A film about a  Sacramento rock climber won an Oscar!  “Free Solo” won for Best Documentary Feature. It’s about Alex Honnold’s quest to ascend the famed El Capitan rock formation at Yosemite National Park without ropes.
