West Nile Virus Prompts Aerial Spraying In Sacramento & Elk Grove

The Sacramento-Yolo Mosquito and Vector Control District will be spraying for mosquitoes that carry West Nile virus tonight and tomorrow night after dozens of dead birds tested positive for the virus. The aerial sprayings will take place from 8 p.m. until midnight. 67 birds from Elk Grove and the Pocket neighborhoods have tested positive for West Nile virus along with 142 mosquito samples.
