So, apparently we’ve all been using can-openers the wrong way our whole lives

When you use a can opener, does the lid ever fall down into the can?  Then it’s a pain to get out and sometimes you cut yourself? Annoying, right? Well, if that happens to you, it’s because you’ve been using your can opener ALL WRONG!  If you hold it like most people do, the part on the can opener that turns is facing out to the right when you’re opening a can.  We’re talking about the part you have to crank.  But that part should be facing UP. If you do it the right way, it cuts through the SIDE of the can instead of the top.  So the lid won’t fall in.

And the bonus is it keeps gripping the lid when you’re done.  So it pops right off, and you never have to touch it. Check out the video below:
