All the rumors appear to be true! Despite a 2-year battle with throat cancer, Val Kilmer will return for the Top Gun sequel.
According to SF Gate, Kilmer has been spotted at a hotel being used for the cast and crew of the ‘Top Gun: Maverick‘, and sources say he is definitely in the movie. Which, is awesome, because I’m not sure how you could do a sequel without Tom Cruise and his greatest rival.
The film is scheduled to hit theaters July 12, 2019
