Look for cloudy weather the next couple of days and cooler in the Sacramento Valley. We’ll hit 79 today, then it’s mid-70s pretty much the rest of the week.

According to the National Weather Service, we’ll have a slight chance of showers late tonight, with a better chance of seeing some measurable rainfall tomorrow morning.

Showers and thunderstorms will be possible through Wednesday, with up to two tenths of an inch of rain possible. The heaviest rain will be along the coast.

Today marks the beginning of a new water year! Most of Northern California saw below normal precipitation numbers last water year, with the driest numbers across the far north.
