Controversial Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte is in hot water once again. While it has nothing to do with his infamous gas station incident at the 2016 Rio Games, this situation affects his career because it involves the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency…

According to TMZ, the agency busted the swimmer, but it wasn’t for using an illicit drug. Rather, the swimmer used an IV drip illegally and then shared a photo of it on Instagram. Not only was it clear in the photo what Lochte was doing, he even captioned it with “Athletic recovery with some #ivdrip.” While an IV drip may not seem bad, the USADA bans athletes from using more than 100 mL within 12 hours of an event.

Although Lochte deleted the photo, the USADA already had what they needed. His punishment, which began on May 24th, is suspension from professional swimming until July 24th, 2019.

The swimmer accepted his punishment at a press conference, but denies any wrongdoing. He explained:

“I wasn’t taking anything illegal. Everything was legal. You can get it at CVS, Walgreens, but there are rules, and you have to obey them. … Don’t worry. I’m not giving up. I’m going to keep going.”

Ryan Lochte will still be eligible to compete at the 2020 Games in Tokyo as the suspension will expire before hand.
