Roseanne Barr had plenty to say about how her character was killed off in the premiere of The Conners, even though she said she wasn’t going to watch.

Viewers of the show learned at the beginning of the show last night that the matriarch of the family died of an opioid overdose. This didn’t sit well with Roseanne, who was fired from the show over a racist tweet in May.

Her close friend and occasional spokesperson Rabbi Shmuley Boteach issued a statement saying, “We regret that ABC chose to cancel Roseanne by killing off the Roseanne Conner character. That it was done through an opioid overdose lent an unnecessary grim and morbid dimension to an otherwise happy family show. This was a choice the network did not have to make.”

Shortly after the episode aired, Roseanne herself decided to respond with “”I AIN’T DEAD, (EXPLETIVES)!!!”

Did you watch? What did you think, too dark?
