Ringo Starr is confirmed to be knighted in 2018. The former Beatles drummer will be knighted for “services to music.” He is joining Paul McCartney, who was knighted in 1997.

BeeGees’ member Barry Gibb is also going to be knighted as a New Year’s Honours recipient, along with late members Robin and Maurice Gibb, according to Variety.
