Quincy Jones Is Not A Fan Of Taylor Swift’s Songwriting

Quincy Jones recently said in an interview that he is not a fan of Taylor Swift’s music. He believes she needs to work harder on her songwriting.

In a recent interview, Quincy Jones did not hold back on his thoughts regarding Taylor Swift.

The legendary music producer praised modern artists like Kendrick Lamar and Bruno Mars when asked his opinion on music today. However, when it came to Taylor… his compliments stopped short. He told GQ:

“We need more songs, man. F–king songs, not hooks.”

When asked to elaborate on what he feels is missing in her songwriting, he responded:

“Knowing what you’re doing. You know what I mean? Since I was a little kid, I’ve always heard the people that don’t wanna do the work. It takes work, man. The only place you find success before work is the dictionary, and that’s alphabetical.”
