Another atmospheric river is taking aim at Northern California, and this one is a soaker.
Sacramento will likely see light rain from this warm storm move in Thursday evening. The really heavy stuff is expected to hit Friday night into Saturday. Between Thursday and Sunday Sacramento forecast to get 2-3 inches of rain, while the foothills could get up to 5 inches.
Since this storm is coming in from Hawaii, it’s going to be a bit warmer, so snow levels will be higher. There is also concern with melting snow and runoff, so a flood watch is being issued for Friday through the weekend in the high country.
Maybe keep that patio furniture covered for a few extra days. It looks like we’re expecting another smaller storm on Tuesday night/Wednesday.
