In Other News, Michael Jackson’s Elephant Escaped
Michael Jackson, yes, that Michael Jackson, once owned an elephant, and that elephant just escaped from the zoo where he now lives.

Did you know that Michael Jackson owned an elephant? Yeah, we certainly didn’t, nor did we know that he’s at a zoo in Florida. His name is Ali, and apparently he’s an escape artist. Well no, someone just left his enclosure open, but still.
Around noon yesterday, Father’s Day, the elephant was reported missing. Sorry, I can’t help but laugh at that a little, however one would lose an elephant. Anyway, in total, Ali was loose for about 20 minutes total. He escaped around 12@0 in the afternoon, but was quickly located, we’re sure. The zoo apparently went into a “code red lockdown.” We’re not sure what that means exactly, but it certainly doesn’t sound good.
Nobody was hurt during the escape, and the elephant simply wandered around the corner and was hanging out behind the giraffes. All it took was a little bit of food and some patience to get Ali back into his enclosure. No word on how the gate was left open, but we’re sure the zoo is working on that, internally. It seems that nobody was actually at any risk, they just wanted people to clear the area so they wouldn’t distract the animal. The goal was to get Ali back home as quickly and distraction-free as possible. Job well done.
