Michael Che Becomes ‘SNL’s’ First-Ever Black Co-Head Writer

Michael Che just got a major promotion

Michael Che and Colin Jost just got a big promotion.

The Saturday Night Live ‘Weekend Update’ anchors were just named co-head writers. According to Vulture, the two will pair with Bryan Tucker and Kent Sublette to round out the team.

In the show’s 42 year history, this is the first time a person of color has occupied the top spot.
