Can you believe it’s been almost two decades since Matt Groening has come up with a new show? It’s finally happening!

The Simpsons creator teamed with Netflix to bring us Disenchantment, an animated fantasy series. The show takes place in a medieval kingdom called Dreamland, with focus on the adventurer princess, Bean. She and her elf and personal demon take on “ogres, sprites, harpies, imps, trolls, walruses, and lots of human fools.”

Abbi Jacobson (Broad City), Nat Faxon (Tammy), and Eric Andre (The Eric Andre Show) play the three main characters. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Matt Groening show without the vocal talents of Billy West and John DiMaggio, as well. In fact, many familiar voices will be featured on Disenchantment!

According to MSN, Matt said of the show:

“Ultimately, Disenchantment will be about life and death, love and sex, and how to keep laughing in a world full of suffering and idiots, despite what the elders and wizards and other jerks tell you.”

The 1o-episode first season drops on Netflix on August 17. Click here to get the first look at the show.
