Mark Ronson & Bruno Mars Face Another Lawsuit

This is the fourth time Mark Ronson & Bruno Mars are being sued over ‘Uptown Funk.’

In today’s sampling music culture, lawsuits in the industry are becoming more and more common. Although they’ve already been sued before over “Uptown Funk,” Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars are facing yet another lawsuit. According to Spin, this marks the fourth lawsuit filed over the song.

This time, early all-female rap trio the Sequence is suing over similarities to their song “Funk You Up.” They believe that there are”significant and substantially similar compositional elements” in “Uptown Funk” to their single.
