Here’s How You Can Manage What Apps Can Access Your Private Facebook Data

It may surprise you to learn just how much information you’re giving Facebook access to, including third parties, like apps. Information like personal data, birth date, friends list, posts, access to groups you’re in and so on. But, if you want to have more control or even see what that information is… it’s as easy as accessing your Facebook settings.

Click on “Settings” in the top right hand corner of your Facebook page. Then, click “Apps.” Then you will see the App Settings panel and all of the apps you’ve ever used by logging into Facebook. Which, by the way, is when we effectively gave them all the permissions they currently have. When you click the app you can edit what they can have access to and save your changes. You can also remove the apps completely after updating the settings. But, don’t think this is a onetime fix. It’s probably something you’ll need to check back on every now and then.
