Today, Jan. 2, you can get a free Bloomin’ Onion appetizer at Outback Steakhouse. All you have to do is say the words “Outback Bowl” to your server.

According to Delish, the promotion is tied to the Outback Bowl football game, which the company has sponsored since 1995. This year, the two competing teams were assigned an appetizer that would be free depending on which team won.

The University of South Carolina represented the Bloomin’ Onion and the University of Michigan was assigned the coconut shrimp. Yesterday South Carolina won 26-19, hence the free Bloomin’ Onion promotion at Outback Steakhouse.
