The video opens with the couple’s first look at each other on their wedding day. In other words, it’s tear-inducing from the get-go. It then transitions into a photo montage of the big day.
According to E! News, DeGeneres and de Rossi wed on Aug. 1, 2008 after dating more than three years. They chose to hold the wedding in their Los Angeles home.

Both shared a passage from their ceremony that still resonates with them today. “Ten years ago, Wayne Dyer officiated our wedding ceremony,” DeGeneres captioned on Instagram. “These words were life-changing to us then, and they mean just as much now.”
