The untimely death of Cranberries lead singer Dolores O’Riordan caught many family, friends, and fans off-guard.

However, police are not treating her death as suspicious anymore, according to Billboard.

The 46-year-old was found dead at a London hotel on Monday morning, and while authorities initially said O’Riordan’s death was “unexplained,” they are now ruling out foul play. The case is passing over to a coroner who will hopefully determine the actual cause.

As it turns out, the singer had been struggling with both physical and mental health issues over the years. Just last year, the band had to end a world tour early so O’Riordan could deal with her health.

Many are still in shock over her passing, though, especially those who had spoken to her recently. She even left a voicemail for friend Dan Waite on the morning of her death, who said:

“She sounded full of life, was joking and excited to see me and my wife this week.”

Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar said in a statement regarding her death:

“For anyone who grew up in Ireland in the 1990s, Dolores O’Riordan was the voice of a generation.”

We wish her family and friends the best during this difficult time.
