A Florida couple quit their jobs and sold everything to buy a sailboat and take an adventure around the world. Unfortunately, their boat sank on the second day of their trip.

Luckily, Tanner Broadwell, 26, and Nikki Walsh, 24, survived the crash along with their pet pug. According to Tampa Bay Times, their boat hit something and capsized in the Gulf of Mexico near Madeira Beach. The accident happened at night.

The couple reportedly had no sailing experience. They wanted to escape modern life and travel the world so they saved up for two years. Broadwell told the publication that they now have no money and nowhere to go.

The boat is still in the channel where it sank. Furthermore, the Coast Guard has informed the couple that they need to pay to have the boat removed. The process can cost up to $10,000.

Despite all this, they aren’t giving up their dream. Broadwell said:

“I’m not going to give up now. I’m going to get another boat down the road.”
