A Placer County Jury Duty Scam is rearing its ugly head again! The Placer County Sheriff’s Department is alerting you to a jury duty scam that’s happening in our area again.

So, here’s the scam according to the Placer County Sheriff’s Department Facebook page:

“A man is calling locals and identifying himself as a PCSO deputy. He tells them they didn’t report for jury duty and asks for payment. He even gives a call-back number, trying to sound legitimate. The number, 530-278-6710, has a recording which sounds like you’re calling us. BUT IT’S NOT US! If you don’t show up for jury duty, you will receive a letter in the mail, NOT a phone call, and you’ll never have to pay a fine over the phone! Please be aware of these fraudsters and don’t give them any money or personal information.”

Please share and make sure no one falls for this!
