Barbra Streisand must have a very hard time saying goodbye because she took up cloning when her dog died!

According to TMZ, the legendary singer and actress has successfully cloned two dogs.

It all began when her 14-year-oldĀ Coton du Tulear named Samantha passed away in 2017. After harvesting cells from Samantha’s stomach and mouth, scientists were able to produce two clones of the pooch for Streisand.

Her Samantha-duplicates, Miss Violet and Miss Scarlett, now live at home with her, and she often posts photos of the two with one of Samantha’s cousins.

However, cloning procedures like this are not cheap; even on the low end of the price spectrum, it can cost at least $50,000 to clone a dog. With all the money Barbra Streisand has though (which is close to $400 million), we’re sure she only got the highest quality clones.
