The royal wedding sounds like a dream for a lot of people. Amy Schumer, however, thinks otherwise.
The comedian went on the record to say that she feels a little bad for Meghan Markle. After all, the event is a political affair as much as it is a wedding. She said in an interview:
“This poor girl. Your wedding, everyone says it’s your day, right? She’s like ‘No it’s not.’ You have to meet all these foreign dignitaries you’ve never met before. There’s so much pressure. It’s like, can you imagine having the worst wedding? That would suck.”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding is just around the corner this Saturday, May 19. There’s already been a whole lot of drama leading up to the event, from Meghan’s half-sister causing a ruckus, to her dad not being able to attend due to a heart attack.
Regardless, a wedding is a joyous occasion, and the couple isn’t letting all the controversy overshadow their big day. A source revealed to Us Weekly:
“Harry and Meghan are still very excited for Saturday. Meghan’s mother, Doria [Ragland], is with her at Kensington Palace right now and her friends are here in town. Everyone is really excited for a magical and special day.”
